KÄSTLE MOUNTAIN MUSEUM

Dive into the history of the legendary Kästle ski brand! More than 80 years ago, Anton Kästle found inspiration in the Arlberg for a ski that made history: the “Arlberg Ski”. Which downhill run was it, where Anton Kästle came up with the clever idea to create this first ski from ash wood, from which the Kästle brand would later emerge? Kästle was founded in Vorarlberg in 1924 and celebrated a brilliant comeback in 2007. The exciting period between these important dates is the subject of the newly opened Kästle Mountain Museum in the top station of Rüfikopfbahn 2. Historic photographic material, ski models from days gone by and many other exhibits from the history of the successful Austrian ski brand can be found in the exhibition. Since 13 December 2008, the history of Kästle has had a permanent home at the Kästle Mountain Museum in the top station of the Rüfikopfbahn. Anyone interested can visit the exhibition free of charge during the operating hours of the Rüfikopfbahn.
